Billy Turkington

DIRECTOR
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant Billy was admitted to membership in 1960. Billy and James McCreery founded the practice in 1967 when it was originally called McCreery Turkington & Co. Billy has extensive experience in tax, accounts preparation and auditing.

Richard McClay

DIRECTOR
He joined the firm in 1995, qualified as a Chartered accountant in 2001 and became a Partner in 2002. He has a wealth of experience across all the main accountancy areas, including audit, taxation, business advice and information technology.

Billy Turkington

DIRECTOR
Bruce is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has over twenty years experience working with a wide range of businesses and individual clients. He assists businesses by making sure they are in the right structure to allow them to grow in a tax and cost efficient manner whilst protecting assets.

Peter Kelly

DIRECTOR
Peter joined the practice in 1978 having graduated in 1974 with a Bsc (Hons) in Economics from Queens. He qualified as a Chartered accountant in 1987 and became a partner in 1994.  Working closely with clients has enabled him to fully understand their businesses, personal finances and family circumstances which allows him to support them on an ongoing basis.

Craig Turkington

DIRECTOR
Craig studied Agriculture at the University of Edinburgh where he achieved a BSc (Hons) in 2001. He went on to study at the University of Aberdeen where he gained a Masters in Land Economy (MLE). Craig worked and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in Scotland for 4 years. In 2007 he moved back home to work in the practice with his bother Bruce.

Paula Hennessy

DIRECTOR
Paula joined the firm in 2002 after graduating in Accounting from Queen’s University Belfast, she then went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted as an associate member of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2007. Paula is responsible for a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industry sectors covering both individuals and corporate clients.

Grainne McConville

DIRECTOR
Grainne joined MTS Chartered Accountants in 2006, having received an LLB in Law and Politics from University of Ulster at Magee in 2004 and a Masters degree in Irish History and Politics in 2006.  Grainne is a director with MTS Chartered Accountants and her duties include planning and supervision of audit and accountancy assignments.

June Stevenson

OFFICE MANAGER
June has been with MTS Chartered Accountants for over 28 years, having previously worked as a secretary in a Stockbrokers and Plumbing Contractors. June is the PA for two of the partners at MTS Chartered Accountants and also provides secretarial services to other members of staff.

Sharon McDowell

OFFICE MANAGER
Sharon joined the practice as a personal assistant having previously held a similar position with Price Waterhouse. As a senior member of the team Sharon has developed a good rapport with our clients and a knowledge of their affairs which enables her to provide an efficient service beneficial to both partners and clients.

Martin McConville

CLIENT MANAGER
Martin joined MTS Chartered Accountants in October 1996 as a trainee Accounts Technician. He qualified as an Accounts Technician in July 1999 and is a member of the Institute of Accounts Technicians in Ireland (IATA). Martin has detailed knowledge of computerised accountancy software including Sage Payroll, Sage 50 Accounts and Tax Assistant.

Janette Bowers

CLIENTS MANAGER
Having previously been employed as an Accounts Clerk in the insurance sector and book-keeper in an architect’s practice, Janette joined MTS Chartered Accountants as accounts administrator in 2010. Her role in MTS Chartered Accountants involves the maintenance of purchases, sales and bank records and she undertakes credit control for the practice.

Wendy Burrows

CLIENT MANAGER
Wendy is a fellow member of Accounting Technicians Ireland and has worked in accountancy for 16 years, 15 of which with Speers and Company. Wendy’s role in Speers and Company covers a wide and varied range, from preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships through to tax return completion and filing.  She is responsible for payroll and CIS services and support along with VAT return preparation and completion.

Nicki Hamilton

CLIENTS MANAGER
Nicki graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1998 with a BSC in Environmental Chemistry.  After graduating she worked in a management position in the manufacturing industry before commencing training to become a Charted Accountant. Nicki’s roles involve the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies for a wide range of industry sectors.

Glenn Livingstone

CLIENT MANAGER
Glenn graduated in Accounting from University of Ulster in 2006, he went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted as an associate member of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2014.  Glenn’s role within the firm includes the preparation and completion of corporation tax returns and accounts for a wide range of audit exempt companies.
